概要 The objective of this study is to clarify the relationship between a local entertainment group as a community of practice and rural residents of "O" district in Japan. From interviews with rural residents, the following points were revealed: first, the preference for local entertainment was not related to age, moving, or the family's experience of local entertainment; second, local entertainment was seen as ritual, entertainment, and a learning opportunity for children; third, residents had obtained three lessons through the appreciation of local entertainment; and fourth, all of them hoped local entertainment would be continued.
