概要 We measured factor VIII-related antigen (VIII-RAG) and thrombomodulin (TM) in plasma in an attempt to differentiate between chronic renal rejection (CR) snd cyclosporine (Cs) A nephrotoxicity in patiants who developed a gradual deterioration of renal function 6 months or longer after renal transplantation. It was not different in plasma VIII-RAG between CsA-treated and CsA-untreated patients, wereas an increased plasma TM level was found in CsA-only-treated patients. In particular, CsA-treated patients with serum creatinine in accompanied by severe pathological vascular lesions and patients with CsA nephrotoxicity showed a remarkably high level of TM in plasma. We demonstrated that an increase in TM plasma levels precedes an elevated serum creatinine in patients with CsA nephrotoxicity.
