概要 | The present study showed that (1) DHA and ARA levels in maternal erythrocytes decreased with the progress of pregnancy, and then DHA decreased further after delivery, while ARA returned to the value at 27 weeks of pregnancy within four weeks after delivery; (2) for fatty acids in the n-3 and n-6 PUFA groups, the levels in maternal erythrocytes at 27, 30, and 36 weeks of pregnancy were significantly positively correlated with the corresponding fatty acid levels in umbilical cord erythrocytes, and the strengths of these correlations were almost the same regardless of the period that maternal blood was drawn. |
